Throughout the Spring and Summer of 2017, Richard will be touring theatres, arts centres and festivals across the UK and Ireland.
Backed up at several of the concerts by choruses of amateur and professional singers, the choir’s 4-part harmonies bring an incredible added energy to his new collection of songs, ‘Firewatching’.
The songs have their roots in some extraordinary stories from Richard’s home county of Kent.
A 6th Century king and queen, a Victorian big game hunter and the heroic firewatchers of the 1942 Baedeker blitz are amongst the heroes and heroines inspiring this music, with their stories brought to life on stage through Richard’s vocals and instruments alongside the talents of Nicholas Thurston on guitar, double bass and synths.
