Firewatching Tour 2017 – looking back…

Throughout 2017, Richard toured theatres, arts centres and festivals across the UK and Ireland.

Backed up by choruses of amateur and professional singers, each group’s 4-part harmonies brought an incredible added energy to his new collection of songs, ‘Firewatching’.

The songs have their roots in some extraordinary stories from Richard’s home county of Kent.

A 6th Century king and queen, a Victorian big game hunter and the heroic firewatchers of the 1942 Baedeker blitz are amongst the heroes and heroines inspiring this music, with their stories brought to life on stage through Richard’s vocals and instruments alongside the talents of Nicholas Thurston on guitar, double bass and synths.

The ‘Firewatching’ tour will culminate on Saturday 14th October 2017 with a concert at Brighton’s Unitarian Church alongside London’s leading contemporary choir, Camden Voices (For tickets see www.wegottickets.com/event/414478)

In 2018, Richard will be releasing an EP and touring the UK and Europe as a solo and duo act.
